Bi-lingual Counselor
Description

Thorough knowledge of principles and practices of counseling techniques as they relate to drug and or alcohol abuse, physical behavioral and emotional characteristics and manifestations of drug and alcohol dependency and individual and group behavior. Counselor must be bi-lingual (English & Spanish). Knowledge of Latino culture and its impact on treatment and recovery a plus.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and other members of the treatment team. Have the ability to express ideas verbally and in writing for any necessary documentation.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Must meet Department of Health (DOE) chapter 704 staffing requirements

Counselor II: Bachelor Degree or CAC with 1 year Counseling experience

Counselor III: Master Degree with appropriate internship or 1 year counseling experience

·         Must have 2 years working experience in Human Services field;

·         Experience working in Drug and Alcohol Program preferred;

·         Prior training in ASAM and Confidentiality preferred.

·         Bi-lingual capabilities is a requirement
