Marco Giordano, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Marco Giordano joined The Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in October 2024. In this position, Marco is responsible for the Center’s overall financial leadership, strategy, and direction. Within finance, he guides the Center’s financial accounting, reporting, and management, including budget development, as well as the treasury, revenue cycle, payroll, and insurance functions.

With more than 30 years of experience in accounting and financial management, Marco brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the organization.

Marco began his career in public accounting with Cogen, Sklar Levick, now known as Morison Cogen LLP, working primarily with nonprofits. After gaining invaluable experience there, he transitioned to Temple University Hospital, where he served as an accounting supervisor and later as their controller. During his eight-year tenure at Temple, he developed a deep understanding of healthcare finance, which continues to inform his work today.

In February 2007, he joined Resources for Human Development (RHD), where he spent 17 years in various leadership roles. Starting as Chief Accounting Officer, he was responsible for accounting and financial reporting. By the end of his tenure, he had also worn the hat of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and eventually, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), leading the organization through organizational change and strategic transformations, which well prepared him to become a part of the Be Well community.

Marco attended Widener University, graduating with a BBA in Accounting and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1996.

Marco enjoys family life with his wife and two adult daughters. He loves listening, singing, and dancing to music, LOVES Halloween, playing in the dirt (aka landscaping), and Lego – all of which reflect the creative, enthusiastic attributes he brings to his management style and professional approach to leadership.
