Inpatient Psychiatric Services
Acute Psychiatric Services
This unit provides acute and sub-acute psychiatric services to persons in recovery. Participants are referred through the City of Philadelphia’s crisis response centers and receive individual therapy sessions with a psychologist, as well as art, music, and movement therapy.
Girard Recovery Center
This unit provides community reintegration therapy for individuals returning from Norristown State Hospital; from the prison system or from other institutions unable to stabilize the participant in 30 to 60 days.
Extended Acute Services
This extended acute unit serves participants with chronic pervasive mental illness for up to three years, and provides individual therapy sessions with a psychologist as well as art, music, and movement therapy. Participants are stepped down into Supportive Housing and Treatment Programs including Long-Term Structured Living, Community Residential Rehab, and Residential Treatment for Adults upon discharge.
